The Reeths-Puffer girls bowling team overcame a slow start on Wednesday and raced to a 23-7 victory over rival Mona Shores in an O-K Green conference match.

The Rockets lost the first baker round 109-103, but bounced back with a 133-79 win in the second round for four team points. R-P also won two bonus points for combined pins in the two baker rounds.

Reeths-Puffer won the first regular game, 715-574, earning four team points. Hailey Johnsen and Destani Villapando both won their head-to-head matchups and secured two more team points.

The Rockets also won the second regular game, 712-478, to earn four points. They also picked up another five points when Johnsen, Jaden Husted, Ella Mattson, Rowan Bluhm and Brook Buchan all won their head-to-head matches.

Buchen had a high score of 198 in the second game.

R-P also won two bonus points for winning the combined pin total in the two regular games.

Reeths-Puffer is now 3-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
