The Reeths-Puffer girls bowling team ran into a bit of frustration at Saturday's Fruitport Invitational at Northway Lanes.
While the Rockets did well, taking fifth place in the preliminary rounds out of 18 teams, they missed qualifying for the four-team championship playoff by less than 100 pins.
Holton finished fourth and made the playoff with a 2,689 score while R-P came in with a 2,591.

The good news was that R-P's Brook Buchan had a great day, rolling a 522 series, finishing in third place in the individual standings and winning an All-Tournament medal.
Ella Mattson paced R-P in Game 1 with a 178 score, followed by Buchan with a 177.
Buchan led in Game 2 with a 194 while Rowan Bluhm was the top Rocket in Game 3 with a 158.
The Rockets will begin head-to-head conference play on Monday against Caledonia.
