Reeths-Puffer cross country standout Jersi Bilek collected another medal on Saturday after another strong performance, this time at the Greater Muskegon Athletic Association City Meet at Rycenga Park.

Bilek finished in third place out of 59 runners with a time of 20:16.and got a medal for her top 10 finish.

The R-P girls did very well as a group, placing five runners in the top 25 and finishing in third place out of seven teams with 71 points. The Rockets only finished two points behind second-place Mona Shores.dw

Western Michigan Christian ran away with the team title with 40 points.

R-P’s Gabrielle Chevez just barely missed winning a medal, finishing 11th with a time of 21:42.

Kaitlyn Durow was 17th with a time of 22:26, Adrienne Fluette was 21st with a mark of 22:49 and Charli Belinger was 25th at 28:24.

The Reeths-Puffer boys team had one of its better performances of the year, finishing sixth out of 10 teams with 144 points. Western Michigan Christian won the title with 48 points.

Four of the five R-P runners were in the top 28 in the field of 69 runners.

Junior Dylan Sturr came in 24th with a tile of 18:38. Jack Yonkman was 25th at 19:05, Samuel Perez was 26th at 19:11, Jamie Neel was 28th at 19:12 and Gage Bouwman was 52nd at 22:11.
