Five members of the Reeths-Puffer girls track team won All-Conference honors on Friday.
The Rockets’ 4 x 100-meter relay team of Melana Johnson, Brooklynn Tornes, Madi Smith and Amani Starr earned that status by winning their event at the O-K Green conference meet at Wyoming High School.
The foursome finished with a time of 51.24, just ahead of second-place Zeeland West, which came in a 51.40.

R-P’s Jersi Bilek also earned All-Conference honors with a strong performance in several different events.
Bilek finished in fourth place in the 800-meter run and the 3,200-meter run and was part of the third-place 4 x 800-meter relay team.
Several other Rockets also placed well in the conference meet.

That list includes the other members of the 800-meter relay team that finished third: Sophia McCollum, Adrienne Fluette and Gabrielle Chevez.
R-P’s 4 x 400 team of Ma’Kaia Riley-McGuffey, Darcy Keefe, Kamari Walker and Azzy Gordon took fourth place.
Chevez finished fifth in the 3,200-meter run, Madilynn Smith was sixth in the 300-meter hurdles and Isabella Smith was sixth in the pole vault.
Reeths-Puffer finished in fifth place in the team standings with 51 points. Zeeland East ran away with first place with 229.5 points.
