The Reeths-Puffer girls tennis team fell 5-3 in a tough match against a good Ludington squad on Thursday afternoon.

Mylie Neel (No.2 singles) picked up the lone singles flight victory for the Rockets, defeating Ludington’s Amaya Sytek 6-1, 6-1.

The Rockets split the four doubles matches. Emma Fraser and Lauren Matz (No. 2) picked up a 6-2, 6-3 victory while Malania Eilers and Gabrielle Borgeson (No. 3) won 6-3, 6-3.

The loss came one day after Reeths-Puffer swept Wyoming 8-0.

Brooke Titus (No. 1), Olivia Harris (No. 2), Molly Matz (No. 3) and Kaitlyn Darow (No. 4) all swept to victory in their singles matches. The Rockets won 48 of 52 singles games.

In doubles, Fraser and Matz (No. 2), Eilers and Borgeson (No. 3), Hope Latsch and Olivia Smith (No. 1) and Ava Dietz and Laura Tejedor (No. 4) all cruised to easy straight set wins. There were 49 doubles games and R-P won 48 of them.

The Rockets are now 3-2-2 in dual matches this season.
