Reeths-Puffer senior golfer Dylan Panozzo put together two good days at the Traverse City Invitational tournament at Crystal Mountain on Friday and Saturday.

Panozzo finished with a score of 84 on Friday, with birdies on the holes 5 and 16. Ayden Hartzell finished second on the R-P squad with an 85, followed by Aiden Waggoner (89), Kristian Brown (90), Jake Lee (98) and Jamie Neel (109).

Panozzo shot an 86 on Saturday, which included a stretch of six straight pars and a 39 score on the front nine. Waggoner shot a 90, followed by Hartzell (92), Brown (93), Neel (104) and Lee (112).

Overall Reeths-Puffer shot a two-day score of 709 and took 16th out of 30 teams at the big tournament.

“Dylan Panozzo is close to putting some good rounds together,” said R-P Coach Matt Pallett. “His 39 on the front nine on Saturday was impressive. He is starting to hit some really quality golf shots.

“It was a fun two days and it’s always good to see where the team stacks up against good competition on tough courses. This weekend will make us better. The guys are hungry to get better.”

The Rockets will return to action on Wednesday against O-K Green conference opponents at the Muskegon Country Club.
