The Reeths-Puffer girls track team’s season will really get rolling after spring break, when the Rockets participate in an O-K Green conference meet on April 10.
But the team already demonstrated some promise heading into the main part of the season, with several girls performing well at the recent GVSU Laker Challenge at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, which included a lot of teams and talented athletes.

The top Rocket individual was Jersi Bilek, who finished in 14th place in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:28.88.
Last year Bilek’s best time was 5:47.
The 300-meter relay team: Melana Johnson, Savannah Lockwood, Jersi Bilek, Madi Smith.
“She is one of the most talented distance runners R-P has had and we are looking forward to what is in store for her," said R-P head coach Angie Grant.
The R-P 300-meter relay team (Kamari Walker, Jersi Bilek, Madilynn Smith, Malana Johnson) also finished 14th with a time of 3:06.28.
