Junior pitcher Brayden Mitchelson gave the Reeths-Puffer baseball team a big lift in its first game of the season.

Mitchelson allowed only two hits and no runs while striking out 11 in the Rockets’ 5-3 victory over Montague on Monday.

The Rockets trailed for the first part of the game, then scored all five of their runs in the fourth inning.

Holden Earnest led the R-P offense with one hit and two RBIs. Trent Reichert, Jack Yonkman, Quinn Alderink and Landyn Wilson also had single hits for the Rockets.
