The Reeths-Puffer wrestling team kept pace in its bid to repeat as O-K Green conference champion with an impressive 52-24 victory over Mona Shores on Wednesday.

Andrew Corradin (157 pounds), Nathan Reeves (165), Sage Secrest (190) and Ian Cook (132) all won their matches with pins, while Marcus Moore (120), Hunter Eek (138) and Jake Rozycki (126) all won by decision.

The Rockets also benefitted from forfeits in three weight classes.

R-P's Ian Cook, who had a pin in one match and won by technical fall in the other.

Reeths-Puffer had a more difficult time in its second match of the evening, falling to Greenville 50-23 in a non-conference tilt.

Getting pins for the Rockets were Rozycki (126), Nathan Stafford (285) and Arin Maynard (106), while Cook won by a technical fall in the 132-pound match.

“We wrestled really tough against Shores and took it to them,” said R-P Coach Jared Fleming. “In the second match we did a tremendous job of fighting off our backs against a really solid team. They are coached really, really well and have a lot of studs on their team.”

The Rockets will return to the mats on Saturday at the Great Muskegon Athletic Association City Tournament at Muskegon High School.
