The Reeths-Puffer boys tennis team ran into a buzzsaw on Wednesday night, losing 8-0 to O-K Green conference regular season champion Zeeland West.
No. 4 singles player Cade Paugh had the most competitive match of the night, falling 6-3, 7-6 while No. 1 singles player Quinn Alderink fell 6-3, 6-2.
“It just shows how far we need to continue growing,” said Rocket head coach Ryan Hankinson about the performance. “The positive is that we have every player potentially returning next season.”
The Rockets will next be in action on Saturday when they take part in the Greater Muskegon Athletic Association tournament.
