R-P boys golf team

The Reeths-Puffer boys golf team wrapped up its season on Tuesday at a Division 1 regional tournament at Sunnybrook Golf Club.

The Rockets shot a team score of 356, which put them in 15th place out of 18 teams.

Dylan Panozzo had the best day for the Rockets, shooting an 83. Kristian Brown followed with an 87, David Grimard and Tanner Bonjernoor both shot a 93 and Ayden Hartzell shot a score of 101.

Dylan Panozzo, who led R-P with an 83 score at regionals.

The good news is that the Rockets will have some returning talent to build around next season, with Panozzo, a junior, and Brown, a sophomore, among those expected to return to the lineup.

The team bid a fond farewell to three seniors – Grimard, Bonjernoor and Jacob Pierce.

“It was a great first year of learning for me,” said R-P Coach Pallett, who took over the team this spring. “I am very appreciative of my three seniors. They are great people who were also great teammates.

“We now know where we are at as a program, and we will have to get to work to accomplish bigger goals in future seasons.”
