The Reeths-Puffer baseball team kicked off its final conference series of the regular season with a 10-0 victory over Holland on Wednesday in O-K Green action.

Three R-P seniors – Catcher Earnest, Kyle Schlaff and David Wilhelm – celebrated the final home game of their varsity careers by hitting doubles.

Brayden Mitchelson pitched a complete-game victory for R-P, scattering eight hits while striking out eight with no walks.

Caiden Theisen started things off for the Rockets with a two-run single in the first inning.

Reeths-Puffer took control with a six-run sixth inning. Jack Yonkman, Trent Reichert, Jaxson Whitaker and Lukas Johnson each had RBI hits in the inning.

Overall the Rockets had 10 hits, led by Theisen and Whitaker with two apiece. The home team did not commit an error in the victory.

The Rockets, now 15-14, will play a doubleheader at Holland on Thursday night, then will visit Jenison on Tuesday in their final warm-up for the Division 1 district tournament a week from Saturday at Mona Shores High School.
