The Reeths-Puffer softball team’s bats were booming on Thursday, resulting in a very impressive doubleheader sweep over Spring Lake.

The Rockets won the opener 11-1. They scored four runs in the first inning, two in the second, four in the fourth and one in the fifth.

R-P's Mady Snyder, who pitched the win and hit a homer in Game 1.

Lainey McDaniel had three hits for R-P, including a double. Mady Snyder hit a home run and a double, and Kyleigh Bilek and Kaylee Jones each had a single and double.

Snyder pitched the win on the mound, striking out seven with only one hit and one walk.

Reeths-Puffer completed the sweep with a 16-6 victory in Game 2.

The game started out badly, with Spring Lake leading 4-3 after one inning and 6-3 in the middle of the third. But the Rockets responded with two runs in the third, four in the fourth and seven in the fifth to steal the victory.

Jones and Megan Barmes each had two hits for the Rockets, including a triple for Jones and a double for Barmes. Kyleigh Bilek started on the mound and struck out two in three innings while McDaniel tossed two innings with three strikeouts.
