The Reeths-Puffer baseball team snapped a frustrating seven-game losing streak by downing Montague 6-3 on Saturday in the Greater Muskegon Athletic Association City Tournament.

Trent Reichert took care of business on the mound for the Rockets, pitching 6 1/3 innings and striking out 13 batters. Caiden Theisen led R-P at the plate with three hits while Reichert and David Wilhelm each had two.

The Rockets advanced to play North Muskegon in the tournament semifinals at Marsh Field and lost 6-0.

Brayden Mithelson pitched all seven innings for Reeths-Puffer, scattering six hits while striking out five. Theisen, Catcher Earnest and Quinn Alderink each had one hit for the Rockets.

Reeths-Puffer, now 11-8 on the season, will visit Zeeland West for an O-K Green conference doubleheader on Tuesday.
