The Reeths-Puffer boys golf team keeps making steady progress, but the Rockets are still very much a work in progress.

The R-P boys had their best nine-hole score of the season on Thursday when they competed in an O-K Green conference tournament at Winding Creek Golf Club.

Reeths-Puffer finished fourth in the event with a score of 188. Mona Shores dominated the competition with five of the top 10 golfers.

Leading the Rockets was freshman Kristian Brown with a 43, followed by Dylan Panozzo (44) and Tanner Bonjernoor (47).

Calvin Schlee shot a 54, Tristan Baker had a 55 and Jake Lee shot a 59.

“So far we are not playing to what I believe is our potential,” said R-P Coach Matt Pallett. “We have guys playing well at times for a few holes. We need guys to put nine quality holes together.

“We will work hard to reach our goals, both as a team and as individuals.”
