TOP TEN GRADUATES

Reeths-Puffer High School Class of 2008 is proud to be graduating 4 seniors ranked number 1 in the class. Valedictorian and Salutatorian were selected by ACT and MME test scores, in accordance with the Reeths-Puffer High School handbook policy.

ADAM RYKSE

ADAM RYKSE

Valedictorian of the Reeths-Puffer High School Class of 2008 is Adam Rykse. Adam is the son of Rick and Amy Rykse. He has a grade point average of 4.00. Adam has been active in the Marching Band, Jazz Band, and the National Honor Society. He is a Michigan Competitive Scholar, a recipient of the Michigan Promise Scholarship, and numerous Academic Achievement Awards. Adam plans to attend Michigan State University in the fall, where he has received the Honors College STATE Scholarship, to pursue a career in Medicine.

NICOLE KING

NICOLE KING

Salutatorian of the Reeths-Puffer High School Class of 2008 is Nicole King. Nicole is the daughter of William and Elizabeth King. She has a grade point average of 4.00. Nicole has been involved in Track and Field, Basketball, Volleyball, Cross-Country, National Honor Society, Student Council, and is on the r-P Athletic Council. She is a Michigan Competitive Scholar, a recipient of the Michigan Promise Scholarship and she has received numerous Academic Achievement Awards. Nicole has also been chosen Student of the Month. She plans to attend Michigan State University in the fall to study Animal Science.

ASHLEY ARNOLDI

ASHLEY ARNOLDI

Graduating number 1 in the Class of 2008 is Ashley Arnoldi. Ashley is the daughter of John and Kathy Arnoldi. She has a grade point average of 4.00. She has played Varsity Golf for 4 years, Varsity Tennis, is active in the National Honor Society and volunteers in the community. Ashley is a Michigan Competitive Scholar, a recipient of the Michigan Promise Scholarship, the AAA Award, and has been awarded numerous Academic Achievement Awards. She plans to attend Kalamazoo College, where she has received the Honors and Competitive Science/Math Scholarships, to pursue a career in Medicine.

CHANSEN BLACK

CHANCE BLACK

Chance Black is graduating number 1 in the Class of 2008. He is the son of Jami and Richard Young and Bronze Black. He has a grade point average of 4.00. Chance has played on the Baseball team and been active in the Theatre and High School Musicals. Chance is a Michigan Competitive Scholar, a recipient of the Michigan Promise Scholarship and numerous Academic Achievement Awards. He plans to attend the University of Colorado to study Journalism.

Julia Brantsen, daughter of Sherwin and Diane Brantsen, is graduating number 5 in the Class of 2008. She has a grade point average of 3.98. Julia has been active in Tennis, Soccer, National Honor Society and volunteers for peer tutoring. She is a Michigan Competitive Scholar, a recipient of the Michigan Promise Scholarship, AAA Award and numerous Academic Achievement Awards. She plans to attend the University of Michigan in the fall to pursue a career in the Medical field.

Justin Holmes, son of Carolyn and Jeffrey Homes, is graduating number 6 in this year's class with a grade point average of 3.98. Justin has been active in the National Honor Society, Tennis, Science Olympiad and is on the Ski Team. He is a Michigan Competitive Scholar, a recipient of the Michigan Promise Scholarship, the VFW Voice of Democracy Scholarship and numerous Academic Achievement Awards. Justin plans to attend Michigan Technological University this fall, where he has been awarded the Presidential Scholarship, to study Physics.

Graduating number 7 in the Class of 2008 is Kellie Bollenbach. Kellie is the daughter of Steven and Sharon Bollenbach. She has a grade point average of 3.98. Kellie has been involved in the Marching Band, Science Olympiad, S.A.D.D., Be The Change, and the National Honor Society Kellie is a Michigan Competitive Scholar, a recipient of the Michigan Promise Scholarship, and numerous Academic Achievement Awards. Kellie will be attending Brigham Young University in the fall, where she has received a full scholarship, to study Microbiology.

Adam Richards is graduating number 8 in this year's class. He is the son of Blake and Sandy Richards. Adam has a grade point average of 3.97. He is active in Boy Scouting, STATS, Science Olympiad, the Michigan Math League and the National Honor Society. Adam is a Michigan Competitive Scholar and is a recipient of the Michigan Promise Scholarship, Eagle Scout Award, and is working toward his certification as a Microsoft Support Technician. Adam plans to attend the University of Michigan in the fall to study Computer Science and Engineering.

Page Andrews, son of Lee and Kathy Andrews, is number 9 in this year's class. He has a grade point average of 3.97. Page has been active in Marching Band, Wind Ensemble and has been in the Pit Orchestra for the high school musicals. He has also played Baseball, tutored elementary students and is involved in the National Honor Society. Page is a Michigan Competitive Scholar, a recipient of the Michigan Promise Scholarship, AAA Award, various Academic Achievement Awards and was chosen Student of the Month. He plans to attend Michigan State University in the fall, to pursue a degree in Elementary Education.

Alysia Wilson is also graduating 9th in the Class of 2008. She is the daughter of Alan and Sarah Wilson. Alysia has a grade point average of 3.97. She has been involved in Soccer, Basketball, Madrigals, Chorale, Solo and Ensemble, her church Youth Group and the National Honor Society. Alysia is a Michigan Promise Scholarship recipient, a Michigan Competitive Scholar and has received numerous Academic Achievement Awards. She plans to attend Brigham Young University Idaho in the fall, to pursue a career in Design.
