8th Grade Rocket Ladies defeat West Ottawa
Not even a long lay off between games and a long bus ride could slow the 8th grade ladies down. Usually those two things and playing a very good team (a team that beat us twice last year) is not a good combination. The Lady Rockets played a great game against a very good West Ottawa team and came away with a hard fought 36-34 victory. Great team defense was the key as the Lady Rockets held West Ottawa's best player to 8 total points including none in the 2nd half. Timely offense and key free throws sparked the victory and improved the record to 5 and 0. The team has no time to rest as they play home games tonight versus East Kentwood Pinewood and Thursday versus Muskegon. Come out and support your Lady Rockets!
