Parent Communication 10/27/19

Good Afternoon RPI Families,

Due to the high volume of announcements I will keep this very brief.  If you drop off in the morning, please pay particular attention to the first bullet.  We are now offering a new place to drop off your student to help speed the morning! As you look at these bullets, please either consider how you can help or how you can lean upon our community during the holiday season.  We are a great community and below you will see some examples of that.

  • Morning Drop Suggestion: Along with the Muskegon Township Police and our transportation department, we want to offer an alternate drop off spot in the morning.  If you enter the back lot, near the soccer field, and drive behind the building (AFTER 7:17 am!!!), you can drop students off at the sidewalk that runs in front of the building.  Here is a map to show what I am talking about. The hope is to alleviate congestion and speed up the morning drop off process.

  • Halloween Costume Expectations: Here is a link to the guidelines!

  • RPI Food Drive!  Our student leadership groups are sponsoring a canned for drive to help out our community food pantry and Salvation Army.  Here is the information

  • Holocaust Survivor Community Event This TUESDAY!  Please consider attending as these first hand experiences are becoming fewer and far between as this great generation ages. Here is the flier.

  • Thanksgiving Meal Information: Know a family in need? Are you in need yourself? Here is some information that can help around the holidays.  Free Thanksgiving Meal at Muskegon High SchoolMAP Thanksgiving Baskets

  • As we get information about the Salvation Army Thanksgiving Day meal delivery, we will pass that out. This was all I could find on the internet:  Salvation Army: Turkey Run starting at 9 a.m. at Muskegon Reeths-Puffer High School. The event will deliver approximately 1,900 Thanksgiving meals to families throughout the area from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. To volunteer for the event, show up at Reeths-Puffer at 9 a.m. and be prepared to deliver food to families in the area.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Have a great week everyone!

Mr. Panozzo
