Rockets Run Out of Gas
In a back and forth game, the 7th grade Rockets dropped a tough one against Muskegon in the final minute despite a solid team effort. Mya Swain led the team with her thirteen points and nineteen rebounds while Jenna Terpstra chipped in ten points of her own along with six rebounds. Kyleigh Bilek wasn’t too far behind with six points to go with nine rebounds. Leading the defensive effort were the quick hands of Chloe Brainard and Hannah Potts. A big three by Savannah Lockwood, who finished with five points, and a key lay in by Kiera Ketner kept the pressure on the Big Reds; unfortunately, it simply wasn’t enough as time just ran out on the final push. It’s back to practice after three straight games for the girls as they hope to rebound after a week of close games.
