Another Tough Road Trip
The 7th grade squad had a hard time finding the bottom of the bucket against the host Panthers of West Ottawa. Great defense kept them in the game throughout and even managed a lead early; unfortunately, the timing was just off in the offensive sets despite handling full court pressure extremely well. Mya Swain and Jenna Terpstra paced the Rocket offense with ten and seven respectively. Swain and Kyleigh Bilek were tough down low as they led the team in rebounds. The girls attempted to vary the defensive sets in order to get West Ottawa out of rhythm, but they proved to be prepared for the change-ups down the stretch in order to preserve a six point lead.
