HALL OF FAME BASKETBALL CLASSIC – 5 bucks for full day!

For the second-straight year, the three biggest Muskegon County schools will play back-to-back-to-back against regional rivals at the Muskegon Area Sports Hall of Fame Holiday Classic basketball tournament. The 18th annual event is set for Friday, Dec. 27 at Reeths-Puffer High School.

The varsity portion of the day-long tournament – which has become an area tradition and a reunion of sorts - starts off with Mona Shores against Holland-West Ottawa at 5 p.m., Reeths-Puffer against Grand Rapids Christian at 6:45 p.m. and the traditional finale of Muskegon against East Kentwood at 8:30 p.m.

Those same teams will also play at the freshmen and junior varsity level that same day at Reeths-Puffer, with those games starting at 11:30 a.m.

Tickets are still $5, which is good for the entire day.

The Hall of Fame Classic ranks among the longest-running Christmas tournaments in the state of Michigan. Thanks to an outstanding group of volunteers that help stage the games, the Classic has been able to return more than $140,000 to the participating schools over the past 17 years.
