These amazing, mostly 6th grade, Lady Rockets raced in the wind and rain at Muskegon's University Golf Course on Friday. Ellery Berndt ran the slippery 2 miles in 13:29 and finished 17th of the 122 athletes. Right behind her, placing 18th and 19th and also receiving medals were Jersi Bilek at 13:31 and Hope Latch at 13:33. Maya VandenBosch and Ellie Knapp finished strong with times under 14:00 for a 4th place team finish.
Seventh grader Kye Grant battled the entire muddy 2 miles for his 2nd place finish with a time of 10:57 in crazy wind and rain!!!! Tate Bradley finished 10th of the 150 boys with his PR of 11:46. Jamie Neel also received a medal with his 12th place finish and a time of 11:50. Gavin Weirenga and Tyler Tindal ran their personal best times and the team finished with a close 3rd place. Way to RUN guys!!! Our next and last race is Wednesday in West Ottawa, please come and cheer us on!
