I am a sixty year old British guy ( though I must admit I look more like forty ) who spent the first twenty years of my life growing up in a small town near Birmingham ( England ) named Hales Owen.  Hales is French for hollow and Owen is the name of the Welsh prince to whom the town was given in 1350 as a gift for supporting the English against the Welsh in one of many medieval battles.  The central church in my town was begun in 1083 and stands on the site of a previous Anglo- Saxon church. 

By now you may have figured out that I love history and I love teaching history here at Reeths-Puffer Middle School.

I went college in England  and here in the United States.  I have an undergraduate degree in theology and a graduate degree in history and education.

I teach American History to the eighth grade from the American Revolution to 1900.
