I know a teacher is not supposed to have favorites, but I must confess that F.S.T. is my favorite course to teach. I have taught it for several years now and enjoy its variety of topics and real world orientation.
The topics taught in F.S.T. include functions, statistics, trigonometry, probability, and operations with polynomials. All of these topics are covered thoroughly and their application to the world outside of school is emphasized.
F.S.T. is a wonderful extension of the content students learn in Advanced Algebra, it serves as a fine pre-requisite course for Advanced Placement Calculus, and it is a great foundation course for college.
My sons both took F.S.T. and you, or your child, should too.
