SUBJECT: COURSE 2

CLASS SUMMARY:   

Welcome to Course 2. It is my hope that your child will have a successful and productive year in this math class. I have outlined a few expectations which will help your child be successful in this class:

• Students will come to class prepared every day (journal, homework, book, pencil, calculator, etc.).
• Students will be seated and ready to learn when the bell rings.
• Students will be graded according to the following categories:

1. Distributive Practice/Quizzes: 20%
2. Class Practice: 15%  
3. Tests: 65%

• Students will be active participants in their learning by taking notes and doing classroom examples in their journals.
• Students will correct their assignments with integrity and will write in the correct answers as well as ask questions to further their understanding of the content.
• Students will respect the classroom learning environment and use their time wisely in the classroom.
• Students will be graded by the following grading scale:
    
  • A range= 90-100
  • B range= 80-89
  • C range= 70-79
  • D range= 60-69
  • F range= 0-59
