Welcome to The Shark Team.  My name is Christine Spring-VanderVen. I am the social studies- language arts teacher for our team.  Mr. Carter is the other half of our team and he teaches all of the science and math for our students.  Mr. Carter and I have been teaching together at RP Intermediate for eleven years.  My favorite thing about being a teacher on The Shark Team is that we offer our students many activities, opportunities, and incentives outside of the “normal” 5^th grade curriculum. Teaching Experiences

This year is my 22st year teaching and my 17^th year working for Reeths-Puffer Schools.  Before teaching at RP Intermediate I taught 4^th grade at RP Elementary and 3^rd grade at McMillan Elementary.  For the first 5 years of my career I taught in a variety of grade levels at Holton Public Schools.

Associates Degree- Muskegon Community College

Bachelors Degree- Grand Valley State University

Masters Degree- Western Michigan University
