TECHNOLOGY PLAN

Technology Vision

We live in an increasingly more complex and technical world. To live, learn and work successfully in this environment, students and staff must be able to use a variety of technologies effectively. Thus, technology competencies are a vital component of today’s K-12 education. We believe that technology, when integrated into the educational process and content, is a powerful tool that enhances and expands learning for all students. Students and staff must have the opportunity to master specific technology skills as well as the opportunity to use technology as a tool for gathering, using and manipulating information and data.

Technology Goals
  • Students and staff will use technology tools to enhance learning opportunities, curriculum, and instruction.
  • Staff and student technology skills will meet national (NETS) technology standards.
  • Student achievement in core areas will improve as the result of technology integration.
  • Technology tools will facilitate highly effective internal and external communication.
  • Technology will be integrated into curriculum development and delivery.
  • Teachers will plan and design effective learning environments and experiences supported by technology.
  • Teachers will use technology to enhance their productivity and professional practice.
  • Teachers will use technology to communicate and collaborate with peers, parents and the larger community in order to nurture student learning.
  • Infrastructure and support systems will be maintained at optimum levels for efficiency and capacity.
