Muskegon Community College Board of Trustee's Scholarship is available for students planning to attend MCC in the fall. Students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are eligible for a $500 award and students with a GPA of 3.2 - 3.49 are eligible for a $200 award. Deadline is May 5.
Baker College Board of Regent's Scholarship is available to students planning to attend in the fall. Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above are eligible. Deadline is May 1.
Privacky Memorial Scholarship is available for students who plan to pursue a career in Education or Human Services (i.e. Counselor, Psychologist). Selection is based on academic achievement, minimum of 3.0 GPA, leadership and moral character. Deadline is May 4..
Delta Upsilon Fraternity of the University of Michigan is offering scholarships to incoming male students, based on academics and personal qualities. Applicant is under no obligation to join any organization to be eligible. Deadline is May 16.
Muskegon Community College's Health, Physical Education and Recreation Department is offering a Performance Based Scholarship to incoming freshman. Students interested in a career in one of these areas is eligible. Deadline is April 25.
High school seniors who are members of a minority ethnic group and who plan to pursue an education degree can apply for the MASPA Minority Teacher Education Scholarship. You must have a GPA of 2.8 or above. Deadline is May 1.
The White Lake Beacon is sponsoring a scholarship for students planning to pursue a degree in journalism, graphic arts or English. You must have a GPA of 3.0 or above. Deadline is May 2.
If you are planning to attend Muskegon Community College in the fall you will have to take placement tests (Math and English) so they know what level of courses you should enroll in for the fall. Muskegon Community College will be at Reeths-Puffer High School on Thursday, May 1, at 8:00 a.m. to give these tests in the LMC. You may be able to test out the English test if you have a 22 or higher on your ACT test or scored a Level 1 or a Level 2 on both the reading and writing portions of the MME tests.
Please sign up in the counseling office if you would like to take the placement tests at R-P, no later than April 30. You may also take these tests at Muskegon Community College at your convenience. |
