Football Qualified for Playoffs for the First Time This Century

 

The Rocket Football team ended a decade long playoff drought.  Under second year head coach, Tim Odette, the team finished 6-4 and second in the OK Green Conference.  All loses this past season came at the hands of the top ten teams in the state.

 

"I am really proud of the time and energy these senior kids put into this season." stated Coach Odette.  "Last years senior group set a good example for the juniors and they took the ball and really went with it."

 

The Rockets were lead defensively by All-Conference members Justin Avdek, Zack Overkamp, Jon Sykes, Tyrie Moore and Matt Fetterley.

 

Coach Odette was also named "Coach of the Year," by the Muskegon Chronicle.  "This is a program award, everyone in this program deserves credit for this honor," explained Coach Odette.
