MUSKEGON FURY EDUCATION DAY
     

On January 10, third and fourth grade students at McMillan Elementary participated in the Muskegon Fury’s second annual Education Day festivities at the Walker Arena.  Students were treated to a great game between the Muskegon Fury and the Flint Generals.  This study trip also included curriculum connections to math, physics, sports safety, sports history, geography, and problem solving as each student received an instructional workbook connected to the sport of hockey.  It also provided a wonderful opportunity for students to practice writing reflection journals and thank-you letters.  McMillan staff and students would like to express their appreciation to the Muskegon Fury Organization for hosting the event, and to Verizon and DTE Energy for sponsoring this wonderful experience.
