Central's SCRIP Program

Central's SCRIP program is a fund-raiser that equally benefits the school and you!  It allows parents, relatives or friends of a child in our school district to earn money by making purchases through participating merchants using SCRIP certificates.  When a person purchases SCRIP certificates they are simply purchasing gift cards, dollar for dollar, that can be used to purchase goods or services from the issuing merchants.  With each purchase, a donation is created for Central Elementary School and you!

What's great about our SCRIP program is that you can earn money and support Central Elementary by buying items you normally buy everyday, such as gas, food and clothing. When you buy gift cards through the SCRIP program, a percentage of that gift card is given back to our school (amounts vary from 2% to 25%).  The funds are then equally split, with proceeds benefiting both you and your school.

Local participating merchants include Applebee's, Barnes and Noble, Brooklyn Bagels, Hobos, Jack Loek's Theaters, Menards, Olive Garden, Pizza Hut, Sears, Starbucks, Wesco and many more!  National Merchants include American Airlines, Carnival Cruises, Marriott Hotels, Amazon.com, Shell Oil, Best Buy, Walgreen's, Home Depot, Crate & Barrell, etc.

Keep in mind the following:

• Funds can only be used for school related expenses through college (i.e., yearbooks, school photos, field trips, music lessons, sports, lunch accounts, etc.).
    
• You must submit a written request for disbursement of funds.  Checks are written on Thursdays during the school year.
    
• SCRIP certificates can be purchased in Central's office Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM until 3:30 PM.
    
• SCRIP certificates are kept on hand for local merchants.  National orders are filled within 3 days when placed by Monday morning.
    
• SCRIP certificates make great gifts for friends and family.
